hiking Annapurna Circuit

nepal

14 days hiking the iconic Annapurna Circuit.

One of Nepal’s most illustrious trails that stretches around 200km. The highest part of our journey at Thorung La Pass towered at 5416 meters / 17769 feet. The Annapurna mountain range was breathtaking, figuratively and literally as I found myself battling altitude sickness. Nothing some tsampa and hot tea at the tea houses couldn’t fix. The Annapurna Curcuit proved to me yet again the profound beauty of Nepal.

Here was our route:

Post-Hike Rambles

Nepal is famous for its hiking treks. ⁣Whether you want to journey to the basecamp of Everest, Annapurna, Lang Tang Valley or summit other trekkers peaks, this country is an adventurer’s paradise.⁣

To me, Nepal hasn’t always just been about the path to the peaks, summits and views, but the path to an unseen culture. ⁣These treks allow travelers to experience first hand the traditional Nepali and Tibetan ways. ⁣It’s the tea houses passed down for generations, whose family story will unravel if you choose to listen, and whose hospitality is unwavering — these people are the reason I love Nepal so much. ⁣

Trust the path unseen, because you never know who you’ll meet just up around the bend with an open mind and heart.⁣

The instant I left the country I found myself asking ‘when can I go back?’ ⁣
